Although the Cicely Mary Barker Flower Fairies are not officially associated with a month, we’ve researched the common birth flowers (with UK and US versions having some variations) and have come up with a list of Flower Fairies to represent each month. Each month has an option for a keepsake figurine currently in production and available from our store.
January
Snowdrop Flower Fairy & Pink Fairy Girl
The most recognised flower for January is the Carnation. It is part of the genus Dianthus which also includes the Pink (or Double Pink) plant. The two flowers are closely related and similar in appearance therefore the Pink flower is a good subsitute for the Carnation.
February
Primrose Flower Fairy & Iris Flower Fairy
March
Dafodil Flower Fairy
April
Daisy Flower Fairy & Sweet Pea Flower Fairy

May Flower Fairy & Hawthorn Flower Fairy
May Fairy represents the Hawthorn bush flowering in spring time.

Rose Flower Fairy & Honeysuckle Flower Fairy (figurine not in production)
July
Tulip Flower Fairy
The main flowers associated with July are Larkspur and Waterlily, however Tulip is occasionally recognised.

Forget-Me-Not Flower Fairy

Marigold Flower Fairy

Double Daisy Flower Fairy & Zinnia Flower Fairy
The flower for November is the Chrysanthemum, which is not specifically included in Cicely Mary Barker’s extensive (168) Flower Fairies works. The Chrysanthemum is part of the ‘Asteraceae’ family, which also includes the Daisy and Zinnia plants, so these could be a suitable alternative.
December
Holly Daisy Flower Fairy & & Narcissus Flower Fairy (figurine not in production)
Given in a pot garden, flower arrangement or on an indoor display stand, Cicely Mary Barker Flower Fairy figurines are a delightful keepsake to celebrate the birth of a baby or the birthday of a loved one.
