The fairies have told us they’ve been meeting with the Easter Bunny to discuss some alternatives to chocolate for egg hunts this Easter.
Let’s face it, not only can the kids get way too much chocolate from EB, family and friends, but here in Australia it can still be pretty warm on Easter Sunday so the egg hunt often ends in a melted chocolate mess – plus in our area there have been incidents of crow theft!
Plastic eggs are becoming a popular alternative, but what to put in them? We have the perfect fillers… fairy gardening minis!
These plastic eggs are great for hiding little fairy treasures such as animal friends, mini baskets, tea sets, light garlands, lanterns and stepping stones. Larger plastic eggs can fit pieces like the mini bistro, Baby Sweetpea Fairy, the extra small bridge and extra small glider chair.
After the kids have found all their eggs, the fun continues as they can build, arrange, re-arrange and play in their fairy gardens. EB may also leave a pot, soil and plants if you don’t already have a suitable space in your garden. If you have more than one child participating in the egg hunt, he may leave a certain colour for each child to find.
Here we chose a traditional theme with a cute little bunny and some yummy hot cross buns – but we couldn’t resist including an Aussie twist with our adorable Easter Bilby. All of the products featured in our Easter garden (excluding the garden hook) fit into the plastic eggs.
Head over to our store to find some goodies to fill your Easter egg gifts.

Happy hunting!
